Question

Assalamu alaikum

I read a post saying that it's necessary for us to hear what we are reciting in salah or else the salah will not count. Is this true?

Answer:

According to the Hanafi scholars, recitation in the prayer must be audible, meaning that a person must move his tongue and produce sounds which he can hear himself.[1]
