Question:

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

A question that has me thinking, is it permissible to have a Muslim brother to have a hair transplant? Also is it permissible for a man to have a toupee?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuh

Hair transplant is permissible as long as it’s your own hair that is being taken from one site of the body to another balding site of the body. Toupees and wigs are also permissible as long as they are not from human hair but rather from an animal-based hair or synthetic hair. Please read more details in the following links:
