Question:

Is it permissible to trim/wax hair on a mans back.

Hair has grown on my back due to postural issues for approximately 10 years.

Back hair is now becoming irritating and rubbing on cloths.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

In the books of fiqh it is mentioned that it is permissible but not recommended to remove the hair on the back. However if it is done it will be contrary to manners/etiquette and it is an undesirable act.

Therefore if there is a need, then it will be permissible. But if there is no need, then it should be avoided.

Only Allah (عز و جل) knows best.
