Question:

Is it true that a woman should not comb her hair every day?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Islam promotes neatness and tidiness at all times. One should always stay in a state of tidiness. The Prophet Muhammad SAW in many prophetic narrations encouraged us to keep our hair neat and tidy. However, scholars have said a few days should be missed in between if there is no necessity. If one needs to comb the hair every day, then one should do so. The purpose of not combing the hair daily is not to waste time and to avoid a person becoming vain.
