Question:

 

In surah ص, the Hanafis have sujood shafiees don’t.

Answer:

 

Yes, it mentions in Rad Al-Muhtar vol 2 page 104:

 

فصلاتية لاقترانها بالسجود (ص) خلافا للشافعي وأحمد

With regards to surah ص being recited in the prayer, the Hanafis have sujood shafiees don’t.

 

The prostration of verse 24 of Surah Sad (Surah no. 38 of the Qur’an), according to the Shaf’i school of thought, is not a prostration of Qur’an-recital (sajdah tilawa), but rather a prostration of thankfulness (sajdah al-shukr). A prostration of thankfulness during a prayer invalidates the prayer, thus if one recites this verse while praying, he or she is not permitted to prostrate.

 

However, according to the Hanafi School, prostrating this verse is equivalent to prostrating a Qur’an recital, and it is obligatory (wajib) to prostrate throughout the prayer if it is recited during the prayer.
