Question:
I follow Hanafi and their women sit differently than men and I noticed that when I go to soojod or go out from soojod my feet need to be lifted to move to the sojood position. I even searched up how women pray and videos about it and they actually lift up their feet to move to that position and out of the soojod position, so is the prayer valid? I’m not lifting my feet while I’m doing soojod. I just lift them while going into, or out of soojod.

Answer:
First and foremost, it is important to note that performing Sajdah correctly is an obligatory action in Salah.
Ibn Abbas reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: I have been commanded to prostrate myself on seven bones:” forehead,” and then pointed with his hand towards his nose, hands, feet, and the extremities of the feet; and we were forbidden to fold back clothing and hair.
If the feet do not touch the ground in Sajdah and remain above the ground for the entire Sajdah duration, then the Salah will be invalid.
However, the Salah will be valid if the feet touch the ground for a short while and then are lifted above the ground.
Exercising utmost caution and refraining from raising one’s feet during Sajdah is paramount. Throughout the entirety of Sajdah, it is imperative to keep the feet firmly grounded. Lifting the feet from the ground is considered Makrooh (disliked) in this practice.
Furthermore, according to other Ulama, if the feet remain elevated from the ground for the duration of three Tasbeehat (the recitation of Subhanallah), it may render the Salaah invalid.
Only Allāh knows best.
