Question:
I am a marketer, is it permissible for me to promote this company
This is a shipping company,my work is to find brand owners who are interested in shipping their products around the world. As this system is online,I don’t know after signing up or purchasing the services of this company, which products the brand owner will ship? My job is just to make signup for the services of shipbob company and then I receive commission,
So are my earnings halal?
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
There is nothing wrong with promoting a company as long as you are not advertising something haram. The main job of a shipping company is to facilitate the transportation of goods from one location to another efficiently and securely. There is nothing haram about this.
Of course, endorsing this business would also be prohibited if it solely shipped prohibited items, such as alcohol and other illicit drugs, as you would be encouraging and supporting their actions.
The company may occasionally have to ship prohibited items coincidentally, but this does not mean that they are endorsing or encouraging prohibited behaviour. Instead, it might be a result of contractual responsibilities with clients or legal requirements. If this is the case, your earnings will still be halal even if you promote their business.
Only Allah (عز و جل) knows best.
