Question:

I have my result in 5 days and I was supposed to do this Wazifa 3 days prior to the result for excelling in them but today I got my period. It’s a wazifa about one of Allah’s names ‘Ya Haseebo’ and reciting Durood Shareef before and after. Can I perform this Wazifa during my periods for 3 days?

Answer:

During menstruation, women cannot recite the Qur’an or parts of the Qur’an. However, they can read Du’aas. Therefore, you can read Allah’s names and Durood Shareef during menstruation, as these are Du’aas (Fatawa Hindiyyah, Vol 1, Pg 43).

و لا تقرأ الحائض و النفساء و الجنب شيئا من القرآن و الآية و ما دونها سواء في التحريم علي الأصح إلا أن لا يقصد بما دون الآية القراءة مثل أن يقول الحمد لله يريد الشكر أو بسم الله عند الأكل أو غيره فإنه لا بأس به هكذا في الجوهرة النيرة … و يجوز للجنب و الحائض الدعوات و جواب الأذان و نحو ذلك كذا في السراجية
