Question:

 

What’s the Maslah if a person missed 2 rakaats of witr with the Imaam and got the last rakaat with Qunoot, how will he complete his remaining Salaat?

 

Do qunoot back at the end or complete like normal Salaat?

 

 

 

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

 

Answer:

 

If someone missed two rakaats of Witr and joined the Imam in the last rakaat (where Qunoot was recited), then after the Imam finishes, they should Stand up and complete the missed two rakaats, the Qunoot should not be repeated again.

 

 

So they should complete the first two rakaats that were missed as normal (with Surah Fātiḥah and another Surah), and not recite Qunoot again in the last rakaat sine the last Rakaat along with the qunoot was already performed.

وَحَقِيقَةُ الْمَسْبُوقِ هُوَ مَنْ لَمْ يُدْرِكْ أَوَّلَ صَلَاةِ الْإِمَامِ وَالْمُرَادُ بِالْأَوَّلِ الرَّكْعَةُ الْأُولَى وَلَهُ أَحْكَامٌ كَثِيرَةٌ فَمِنْهَا أَنَّهُ مُنْفَرِدٌ فِيمَا يَقْضِي إلَّا فِي أَرْبَعِ مَسَائِلَ إحْدَاهَا أَنَّهُ لَا يَجُوزُ اقْتِدَاؤُهُ وَلَا الِاقْتِدَاءُ بِهِ؛
