Question:
For those of you who have been doing Qunut Nazilah, are you stopping now because of the ceasefire? What’s your thinking?
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
Definitely after hardship there is ease. We may see it as a ceasefire but there is great possible of a better plan by Allah which we do not know of.
Qunoot Nazila is performed when the ummah is face with severe difficulty or crisis. Alhamdulillah a ceasefire is decided. Therefore the Qunoot should be stop.
It is a time for reflection, over 15 months of war but what change as an individual I brought with regards to my commitment of deen. It is for us to reflect the bounty of Allah that has been bestowed upon us to show appreciation and gratitude.
More important we see in the life of Our Nabi is to be humble even during victory. Perform 2 rakaat of shukr and haajah. Allah bring a complete end to it and ease the affair of the ummah.
