Question:
What was the final resolution on the steam bath breaking the fast? Would humidified CPAP come under that?
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
Inhaling steam will break the fast.1
Humidified CPAP will fall under the same ruling. patients who cannot fast due to their health conditions should remain confident that Allah ﷻ will grant them their full reward on account of the sincerity of their intentions and by accepting the compensation (fidya) they offer instead.
