would it be permissible for a full time or a part-time Darul Uloom student to apply for universal credit?

Answer:

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As a citizen of this country, you are entitled to certain rights, benefits and protections from the government. Therefore it would be permissible for you to apply for universal credit so long as you fulfil the eligibility criteria to receive these types of benefits.

Only Allah SWT alone knows best.
