Before some years I was suffering from an incurable disease (and I was partially paralyzed) and after no cures from the doctor I went to Darul Uloom located in my city Hafiz sahib gave me a taweez and now I am free from that disease but before some days one of my relatives told me that this is kufr I know that nothing can happen without the permission of Allah. I was seeking help only from Allah. Please guide me, sir, because I’m having the dare to return to the previous condition but I can't do kufr.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Allah states in the Quran: “In the Quran is a (spiritual, physical) cure for people.” (Surah Al Isra: V:82).
Abu Said Al Khudri (ra) narrates some of the companions of the Prophet (pbuh) came across a tribe amongst the tribes of the Arabs, and that tribe did not entertain them. While they were in that state, the chief of that tribe was bitten by a snake (or stung by a scorpion). They said, (to the companions of the Prophet), “Have you got any medicine with you or anybody who can treat with Ruqya?” The Prophet’s (pbuh) companions said, “You refuse to entertain us, so we will not treat (your chief) unless you pay us for it.” So, they agreed to pay them a flock of sheep. One of them (the Prophet’s companions) started reciting Surat-al-Fatiha and gathering his saliva and spitting it (at the snake-bite). The patient got cured and his people presented the sheep to them, but they said, “We will not take it unless we ask the Prophet (pbuh) (whether it is lawful).” When they asked him, he smiled and said, “How do you know that Surat-al-Fatiha is a Ruqya? Take it (flock of sheep) and assign a share for me.” (Bukhari, 7.632).
Abdullah ibn Amr (ra) narrated that the Prophet (pbuh) sued to teach them the following words in the case of alarm: I seek refuge in Allah's perfect words from His anger, the evil of His servants, the evil suggestions of the devils and their presence. Abdullah ibn Amr used to teach them to those of his children who had reached puberty, and he wrote them down (on some material) and hung on the child who had not reached puberty. (Abu Dawud pg:187 vol:2).
Regarding your question, It is clear from the above, that the verses of the Quran are a means of physical cure as well as spiritual. Therefore, using taweez, which does not contain words of Kufr and Shirk, is permissible. Also, it should be remembered that everything happens by the will of Allah and the use of taweez is just a means like using the medicine for illness.
