Can we use toothpaste with benzoyl alcohol?
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Artificial alcohol and all alcohol derived from other than dates and grapes, are permissible to use as long as they are not used to intoxicate.
The Prophet of Allah, may peace and blessings be upon him, said “Alcohol comes from these two trees, the date-palm and the grapes-vine…” [Abu Dawud 3678]
Benzyl alcohol is derived from Cassia (cinnamon) oil. Although the term “alcohol” is used in the name, it does not contain any ethanol, the volatile alcohol found in alcoholic beverages and mouthwash products. [https://www.tomsofmaine.com/our-promise/ingredients/benzyl-alcohol]
Therefore, since the amount of benzoyl in toothpaste is not at the level of intoxicating, it will be permissible to use.
