Question:
Is a person allowed to wear a bandage around the ankle whilst in Ihram? Or wear ankle support etc?
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
The state of Ihram during Hajj or Umrah requires the pilgrim to abstain from certain actions and types of clothing. For men, one of the restrictions is the prohibition of wearing stitched or fitted garments that wrap around parts of the body in a manner resembling normal clothing.
The general rule for men is that wearing any clothing that fits a limb, i.e. it is sewn like a shirt, trousers, etc., is not permissible whilst in Ihram.
However, if someone in Ihram is injured or wounded and is required to wear a bandage, then it is permissible for him to wear it, but he will have to give fidya for it.
Only Allah ﷻ knows best.
