Question

I am a doctor, and I’m been given gifts from pharmaceutical companies for the promotion of their products. My question is, is it halal to receive such gifts?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

It is permissible to accept such gifts. [1]

Note: It will not be incumbent upon a person to promote the items, as attaching conditions to a gift is not valid. One may use the items however he wishes.
