Question:

In one of the Qunoot duas it ends at ”tabarakta Rabbana wa ta’alait”, however in some videos of people reciting this dua they say a few extra verses afterwards. Are these verses part of the Qunoot dua and would I have to learn them?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Dua of Qunoot is an authentic Dua read in the witr Salah. The authentic dua found in many ahadeeth books is:

Often you may find others adding extra parts to the dua or reading other authentic duas afterwords. You don’t not have to learn them. The dua of Qunoot, regarding which you are enquiring, its words are limited to that which is above. This Dua is found in An Nasai, At Tirmidhi, Ad Darimi, Ahmad, Ibn Majah, and Al Bayhaqi.
