Question

A woman did umrah and found period blood when doing a shower straight after umrah. She doesn’t know if it happened during umrah or it came out after completing umrah. What does she do?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Allah mentions: “Allah does not want to place you in difficulty, but He wants to purify you and to complete His favor on you so that you may be thankful.”[1]

With regard to your query, in which you are not sure for certain if the periodic bleeding came during the time of umrah or after it, it will be considered as a valid umrah and your uncertainty will not affect the act of worship.

This is because of the fundamental principle with regard to acts of worship is that they are valid, and uncertainty after having completed them does not have an effect.[2]

Based on the ruling above, you will not need to give a dam or repeat the umrah which you have performed.
