Question:

A sister became pak from her periods today, she also has covid. Doctors have prevented her from showering. She is allowed to do tayammum and begin her salah. She will repeat her tayammum whenever her wudu breaks. Once doctors allow her to shower, she does not need to repeat her fard ghusl, she can just make wudu for the next salah.

The prayers prayed with tayammum do not need to be repeated.

This is given that she is not allowed to do wudu either. If she is allowed to do wudu, she will do tayammum for her ghusl, and when her wudu breaks, she will do wudu. After recovery, she does not need to repeat her ghusl.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

  1. The prayers will not have to be repeated as the tayammum was done for a valid reason.1

  1. Once she recovers she will have to redo the ghusl. This is due to the fact that the reason for the permissibility of doing tayammum no longer stands.2
