Question:

Does blowing on meat make it makruh to eat? My aunty told me this, and I
did not believe her.

Answer:

Ibn Abbas said that, ‘The Messenger of Allah probibited blowing into food and drink’ [Musnad Ahmad]

Munawi explains that blowing indicates excessive greediness and a lack of patience. [Munawi, Fayd al-Qadir Sharh al-Jami` al-Saghir]

Fatawa Hindiyya mentions a quote from the Nawadir in which Qadi Abu Yusuf (The student of Imam Abu Haneefah), was asked whether or not it was disliked to blow upon food, he responded that it was not, as long as it was done without a sound.
