Question

During sujood, is it permissible to recite the normal dua in sujood in another language?

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

It will be considered Makruh Tahrimi to recite any duas within Salah, whether that is in sujood or not, in any language other than Arabic. A person can make dua in English or any other language other than Arabic outside of Salah, but it will still be considered Makruh Tanzihi.[1]

It would be best to learn duas in Arabic to recite during sujood in voluntary prayers.
