Question:

My question is that if a woman, after intercourse, walks or urinates or sleeps and then takes ghusl, and during ghusl if some mani comes out, does she have to start the ghusl again?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Mani is the white viscous liquid which is ejaculated with force during orgasm. This necessitates ghusl (ritual bath).

Madhi is a less viscous and colourless liquid which is discharged slowly, usually during arousal. This necessitates wudu (ablution) but not ghusl.

Any fluid that is discharged during the ghusl will be treated as madhi and not mani, since the fluid trickles out slowly and is not accompanied by orgasm. Therefore, the woman does not need to restart her ghusl.

She simply needs to redo her wudu if she had already performed it at the start of her ghusl. It is sunnah to perform wudu at the beginning of ghusl (after washing the hands, then washing the private parts and removing impurities from the body).

For example, if she already washed her torso during ghusl and then the discharge occurs, she does not need to rewash her torso. She simply needs to wash off the impurity, ensure all fluid is discharged, redo her wudu, and then continue with the ghusl. There is no need to restart it.

Only Allah (عز و جل) knows best.
