Question

Assalamualaikum.

Hazrat.

      * Is it wajib, or furdh to be in the state of Wudhu before one can

even enter the Masjid?

    * Is it permissible to be vaccinated when the ingredients are halal?

    * And, what if the vaccination have haram ingredients, and the doctor

prescribing is not a Muslim one? Is it still permissible?

Answer

Waalikum salaam

It is not fardh or wajib to have wudhu to enter the masjid, however, it is mustahab to have wudhu because the masjid is the houses of Allah.

Furthermore, not having wudhu can deprive you of a lot of rewards. The prophet peace and blessings be upon him has said, “The person who remains seated in the masjid after salah, the angels ask Allah to forgive him and to have mercy on him, they continue to do dua till he breaks his wudhu. Mishkat hadith no. 702, vol.1, pg.148-149, Darul kutub al ilmiyah.

Mullah Ali Qari states under this hadith that, although not having wudhu deprives one from the dua of the angels, however, it does not make it impermissible to sit in the masjid without wudhu. Mirqat, pg.595, vol. 2, Darul fikr.

To consume medicine with haram ingredients whether by mouth or vaccination, is allowed only if an experienced and trustworthy doctor has prescribed it. Beheshti zewar, vol. 9, pg. 99, idarah talifat ashrafiyah.

Only Allah knows best.
