Question:
Assalamualaikum
If due to breaking wind once or many times by the time I finish my prayer or am trying to pray the time for that prayer ends am I sinful? Is it the same as missing a prayer on purpose?
There are times when I may wake up late for a prayer with little time left and am not able to pray it in said time am I sinful?
Sometimes I wake up with little time but due to the breaking of wind, I miss the prayer am I sinful?

Answer:
Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuh
Try to pray salah on time, or during the earliest time you can rather than letting the time pass until the last few minutes.
You might fall under the category of a Mathur person. The Mathur person is someone whom is struck by some sort of disease or otherwise, which invalidates their wudu and therefore does not let them pray salah. For example, if someone is bleeding from their nose continuously, or continuously has drops of urine dripping from themselves, or continuously breaks wind for the duration of one complete time period of one salah then they are termed Mathur.
The ruling for this type of person is that they have to make wudu for the time of each salah, however if apart from the specific sickness another matter occurs which also breaks wudu then their wudu will be broken. For example, if someone continuously breaks wind and then their nose bleeds then wudu will be broken and they must renew it.
Remember, when the next salah time enters, and if even once the person experiences blood-flowing or breaking of wind once then too he will be classified as a Mathur. However, if after this an entire time passes wherein he does not experience as such he will not be a Mathur.[1]
And Allah SWT alone knows best.
