Question:
I was doing some house painting in the past week, and at the same time, I was on my menstrual cycle. When my cycle ended, I stopped painting completely to make it easier for me to pray salah. I chose this time to paint as I think I suffer from waswasa when it comes to purity, but I can’t ever tell if I am being excessive or the people around me don’t care enough. When my cycle ended, I did my ghusl and made sure I got every bit of paint off me. I prayed for 2 days and fasted for 1. Today I found some paint on my forearm (about 2 or 3cm). Is my fast and my salah invalidated because water may not have reached my arm? Do I have to make up all the prayers (including tarawih) and the fast, or am I excused as it was a genuine mistake? I also read Qur’an during this time. I am trying to finish it in Ramadan. Will I have to repeat the juz I finished in this time, or is it okay for me to move on from where I’ve read up to? And will my khatam count? Will the same ruling apply if I find paint again on my body?
Jazak Allah khair

Answer:
The fact that there was paint on your arm means your compulsory ghusl is not valid, and you must perform ghusl again. Since the ghusl was not valid, neither is the salah and Quran, and you must perform qada of your salah.
With regards to your recitation of the Quran, you can just continue from where you stopped as it was not done unintentionally.
Only Allah knows best.
