Question

I just want to know if black hijab is farz? Actually one of my teachers ask me Muslim women are only allowed to wear black hijab then why in Afghanistan they wear blue? I haven't seen any hadith saying that women should not wear different colours of hijab outside. please help me. Maybe the people of Europe think that Muslim women are only allowed to wear black like we know that in India widows are only allowed to wear white.

As you will realise, the colour of the hijab should not be of a ‘stylish’ nature such that it attracts attention. Although black isn’t compulsory, the colour should reflect modesty.
