Question:
What does Islam say about whisper ears?
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
Shaytan uses evil whispers to misguide people by casting doubts into their hearts.
Allah says in the last chapter of the Holy Quran
Say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of humankind, the Master of humankind, the God of humankind, from the evil of the lurking whisperer—who whispers into the hearts of humankind from among jinn and humankind.”
So, the most merciful has warned us from the evil whisper and our beloved prophet has taught us many duas to protect ourselves from the evil whispers.
Some of the examples are:-
1. When one is opening Quran or in anger, we say
أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطانِ الرَّجِيْم
I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Shaytan.
2. When stopping in a place:
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of that which He has created. i
We should know that Shaytan only whispers to the people of eeman (faith); as for the non-believer, he comes to him, however, he wants and does not limit himself to waswas, rather he toys with him however he wishes.
So, we should be constantly seeking the protection of Allah from the whisper of shaitan.
Only Allah knows best.
