Answer

In Islam, one should cut the hair in such a way that all the hair is the same length, and abstain from cutting the hair unevenly as this has been prohibited in Ahadith.

It has been narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet (s.a.w) saw a boy, part of whose head had been shaved and part of it left. He told them not to do that and said: “Shave all of it or leave all of it."[1]

From the above narration, we learn that one should abstain from uneven hair by either leaving it or shaving it completely.

In conclusion, we see that Islamically, as long as one avoids copying immoral and keeps one's hair at equal length then there is no harm in doing so. Also, something to bear in mind is  one shouldn't keep the hair in a way that resembles women and vice versa as this also has been prohibited in Hadith:

"Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (R.A) narrates that Allah’s Apostle cursed those men who imitate women and those women who imitate men". (Sahih Bukhari)
