Question

I am in a confusion about sex. Nowadays some practices like rubbing penis between wife’s breast, buttock, the thigh are done. From different fatwa sites, I have known these acts are permissible. But my question regarding it are these acts are considered modest and did early generations of Islam like salaf e salehin practiced this? If anyone practices this, is there will be any problem with spirituality?

Answer

It is mentioned in a hadith narrated by Saaidah Aisha Radiallahu Anha that whenever the wives of the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam menstruated, the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam would order her to wear an Izar (lower garment) and then would do mubasharat (embrace her). (Sahih Muslim p.141 v.1)

Mubasharat means the taking of the benefit by the man from the woman. Now using the meaning of this word the scholars have derived the permissibility of the husband taking benefit from his wife through kissing, hugging, and embracing. It would not be considered against Taqwa. (Mazahirul Haqq p.487 v.1)

It is mentioned in Fatawa Hindiyyah “It is permitted to kiss one’s menstruating wife, sleeps with her and enjoy her entire body, except for that which is in between the navel and knees according to Imam Abu Hanifa and Imam Abu Yusuf.” (p.39 v.1)
