Question:

Assalamualaykum,

Is it haram to listen to binaural beats and subliminals for orgasm?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

‘Binaural Beats’ is a term given to a measured change in brain activity when presented with audio stimulus.

When a person is presented with a stereo sound with two different tones – the brain produces a response (binaural beat) which is hearing and responding to the difference between the tones, not the actual tones themselves.[1]

It will not be permissible to use them for the purpose of masturbation.

It will be permissible if they are used for the purposes of relaxation, focus, sexual stimulation with a husband/wife; as long as they are not accompanied by any musical instruments playing in the background.

And Allah SWT alone knows best.
