Question:

To whom is salah not obligatory (or maaf)?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Salaah is compulsory for every Muslim who reaches puberty and he or she is fit mentally. However, if one cannot move any of his body parts due to an illness, to the extent that he cannot even pray with gestures, then salah is not compulsory for him.[1]
