Who is the Wali After the Father’s Death?

Question

After the father passes away the most right of being the Wali is the grandfather, is that right?

 

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

 

Answer:

Yes, it is correct. When the father passes away then the paternal grandfather, if alive, will take the next position as the guardian (wali).
