Question:

So I prayed asr and maghrib and isha with one wudu and after I prayed isha I wiped myself and found some brown substance come out but I had cleaned myself before and this didn’t come out then. I was on my period and today was the day I finished so I had a ghusl but do I need to repeat my prayers as I’m not sure when this brown substance had come out.

It wasn’t fully a discharge, it was only when I wiped myself it came out on to the tissue. I read on islamqa.info that I would need to repeat the prayer and wudu but its too much prayers that I would have to makeup now and when I realised it was after 11:35pm.

Answer:

Allah states in the Quraan,

Translation: Indeed, We sent Our messengers with clear proofs, and with them We sent down the Scripture and the balance ˹of justice˺ so that people may administer justice. And We sent down iron with its great might, benefits for humanity, and means for Allah to prove who ˹is willing to˺ stand up for Him and His messengers without seeing Him. Surely Allah is All-Powerful, Almighty.

In a hadeeth, regarding the practices of The Prophet Muhammed PBUH, it is mentioned that,

Translation: ‘Urwa reported it from ‘A’isha that she observed:

The Messenger of Allah () inclined his head towards me (from the mosque) while I was in my apartment and I combed it in a state of menstruation.

If there are any doubts in prayers then it is best to repeat them. If the strong belief is in that it was not discharged after the period time had finished and you had purified yourself, then you will not have to repeat prayers. If it was not discharge and just excess coming off which is separate from discharge then you will not have to repeat prayers.

Brown is not a usual colour which is associated with the fluids of haze, these are generally red, yellow, or a mixture of hazy white. It is just considered running blood the excess which came off at that point after the haydh period had finished and there would be no need to repeat prayer if your conscience tells you that this occurred after the Isha prayers. If however, you feel that but occurred before hand then you would need to repeat the prayers in order as they are less than six consecutive missed prayers and therefore they should be observed accordingly to their proper time. So you would firstly pray Asr, then Maghrib then Esha.
