Question:

If someone is sick and weak and keeps on falling, can someone else do their rami for them?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

To pelt the jamarah is wajib in hajj. If a person has a shar’ee excuse only then can one appoint someone to fulfill it on their behalf.

In the instance where a person is sick and so weak where he keeps falling, then he will be excused.

Therefore he can appoint someone to do the pelting for him.

(قَوْلُهُ أَوْ فِي يَوْمٍ وَاحِدٍ) وَلَوْ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ لِأَنَّهُ نُسُكٌ تَامٌّ بَحْرٌ (قَوْلُهُ أَوْ الرَّمْيَ الْأَوَّلَ) دَاخِلٌ فِيمَا قَبْلَهُ كَمَا عَلِمْت، لَكِنَّهُ نَصَّ عَلَيْهِ تَبَعًا لِلْهِدَايَةِ لِأَنَّهُ لَوْ تَرَكَ جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ فِي بَقِيَّةِ الْأَيَّامِ يَلْزَمُهُ صَدَقَةٌ؛ لِأَنَّهَا أَقَلُّ الرَّمْيِ فِيهَا بِخِلَافِ الْيَوْمِ الْأَوَّلِ فَإِنَّهَا كُلُّ رَمْيَةٍ رَحْمَتِيٌّ فَافْهَمْ

(الْعِبَادَاتُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَنْوَاعٍ) : مَالِيَّةٌ مَحْضَةٌ كَالزَّكَاةِ وَصَدَقَةِ الْفِطْرِ، وَبَدَنِيَّةٌ مَحْضَةٌ كَالصَّلَاةِ وَالصَّوْمِ، وَمُرَكَّبَةٌ مِنْهُمَا كَالْحَجِّ. وَالْإِنَابَةُ تَجْرِي فِي النَّوْعِ الْأَوَّلِ فِي حَالَتَيْ الِاخْتِيَارِ وَالِاضْطِرَارِ وَلَا تَجْرِي فِي النَّوْعِ الثَّانِي وَتَجْرِي فِي النَّوْعِ الثَّالِثِ عِنْدَ الْعَجْزِ، كَذَا فِي الْكَافِي وَلِجَوَازِ النِّيَابَةِ فِي الْحَجِّ شَرَائِطُ.
