Question:
Has anyone come across a Fatwa of Jawaaz of the mother giving Adhan to a newborn if no males are available?
Mahmoodiyah has that it is impermissible if she is in Nifaas.

Answer:
With regards to your question, it is recommended for a male to give the adhan in the ear of a newborn. However, if no males are available, then it is permissible for a woman to do it, because adhan is basically dhikr and remembrance of Allah, and dhikr is allowed for women even in a state of nifas (post-natal bleeding). Therefore, it remains permissible if needed, especially when no suitable male is present, although it is better to avoid it if someone (male) else is available. [1]
