Question:
Any fatwaas or discussions regarding auto-correct and its application in talaaq?

Answer:
With regards to your question, auto-correct does not itself cause talaq. What matters is the intention of the husband and whether he actually meant and accepted the words of divorce. If a person types something and auto-correct changes it into words of talaq without him noticing, or he sends it without realising the change, then talaq does not occur because it was not intended and is treated like an accidental mistake. However, if he sees the corrected message, understands that it contains words of talaq, and still sends or agrees to it, then it would count as written talaq. So the ruling depends on intention and awareness, not on the auto-correct itself. [1]
