Question:
Is it permissible to make a Hajj play with a replica Ka’bah for the purpose of education?
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
Making a replica of the Ka’bah is only permissible for educational purposes, however you MUST make it clear that this Ka’bah is NOT the real Ka’bah and holds no virtue nor reward. You and your community must not start revering this replica Ka’bah and you must not attach any importance to it.
As long as you are confident of protecting yourself from such blasphemy, it will be permissible for you to utilize this replica Ka’bah for educational purposes.
It is best to stick a sign on this replica Ka’bah highlighting the fact that it is merely a replica. And it is definitely better to simply put a plain black cloth around a box and use it as a replica Ka’bah so that its appearance varies compared to the actual Ka’bah Sharif.

Narrated `Abis bin Rabi`a: `Umar came near the Black Stone and kissed it and said “No doubt, I know that you are a stone and can neither benefit anyone nor harm anyone. Had I not seen Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) kissing you I would not have kissed you.”
