Mufti Sahab …quick question about the Hadith of one and Half day span of the ummah of Rasullullah SWAS … need to know the detail of this Hadith

Answer:
You may be referring to the below Hadith which is baseless and fabricated:
“If my nation remains steadfast on the truth, it will be granted one day, and if it does not remain steadfast on the truth, it will be granted half a day,”
Again, this Hadith is NOT to be quoted, read, or studied, except for the reason of identifying fabricated Hadith. [2]
The second Hadith you may be referring to is:
Narrated Sa’d ibn Abu Waqqas:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: I hope my community will not fail to maintain their position in the sight of their Lord if He delays them half a day. Sa’d was asked: How long is half a day? He said: It is five hundred years.
[Sunan Abi Dawud 4350]
This Hadith of Abu Dawud contains a slightly broken chain of narrators. However, the narrators were deemed to be trustworthy. Furthermore, a similar narration from Abū Tha‘labah was authenticated by al-Ḥākim. Hence, this narration is Hasan Li-ghayrihi (sound due to stronger chains verifying the authenticity of this chain). The Prophet ﷺ shares a deep connection with Allah through which he receives special honour and elevated status from Allah. Because of that, he hopes Allah will show extended mercy, protection, and delay of punishment for his Ummah, even if their judgement is delayed by half a day in the Hereafter, equivalent to 500 years of this world.
Hence, this Hadith implies that; I hope Allah will honour my Ummah, protect them, and give them mercy and delay/respite, such that they will not fail or be disgraced before Him. Even if they must wait a long time, they will have the strength and honour to do so, and such a delay is not indicative of the Ummah being destined for punishment.
The Prophet ﷺ predicts that the Ummah will remain resilient without any signs of weakness when they stand before their Lord during the Day of Judgment. They will show both strength and patience if subjected to a 500-year period of delay in receiving Judgement in the Divine court of Allah, and they will still be granted mercy from Allah Ta’ala despite the wait. حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، حَدَّثَنِي صَفْوَانُ، عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ “ إِنِّي لأَرْجُو أَنْ لاَ تُعْجِزَ أُمَّتِي عِنْدَ رَبِّهَا أَنْ يُؤَخِّرَهُمْ نِصْفَ يَوْمٍ ” . قِيلَ لِسَعْدٍ وَكَمْ نِصْفُ يَوْمٍ قَالَ خَمْسُمِائَةِ سَنَةٍ .

(إني لأرجو أن لا تعجز أمتي) بفتح حرف المضارعة وكسر عينها وفتحها أي عن الصبر على الوقوف للحساب. (عند ربها أن يؤخرهم) بفتح الهمزة أي لأن يؤخرهم في الموقف. (نصف يوم) من أيام الآخرة قيل لسعد كم نصف اليوم ذلك قال خمسمائة عام أخذاً من الآية، والحديث إخبار عن رجواه – صلى الله عليه وسلم – أن أمته لا تعجز وتضعف عن بقائها في الموقف نصف يوم من أيام الآخرة فتنتظره لفصل القضاء وقال ابن جرير: أن المراد الإخبار بأن بقائها في الدنيا خمسمائة عام فإذا انضم إلى حديث ابن عباس أن الدنيا سبعة آلاف فيكون الماضي إلى وقت
